There is trouble in paradise, and it seems it’s Devin Haney and his long-term relationship with Eddie Hearn that might face the brunt of it. The two have been inseparable and share a close bond. But it is crumbling down over a pair of tickets for the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois bill at Wembley Stadium.

Haney, 25, is in London to witness Joshua vs. Dubois live, as he tries to make the most of his break since the Ryan Garia PED fiasco. However, the former undisputed lightweight champion might have to do away with not watching the event or paying for it himself, as he failed to get the tickets from his old reliable friend, Hearn. He vented out his frustration as he turned to his X handle.

Haney, at 31-0, wrote on X, “Wow I’m n London.. Eddie Hearn won’t give me tickets to the fight but keep mentioning me every chance he get… Eddie the fakest n**ga I ever met bro.”

‘The Dream’ then went on a spree and unleashed some more posts, blasting Hearn for not getting him the tickets. In a second post, he commented, “He do so much foul sh*t..” Haney then drew parallels with the other famed promoters in the boxing world, such as Bob Arum and Oscar De La Hoya. Notably, the WBC champion was signed with the Top Rank before he embraced his free agent tag and continues to exercise freedom over his free agent status.

He continued, “I respect Bob because he kept it straight business & so did Oscar he wasn’t tryna act like he was my friend & he cared bout me so much.. Eddie act like that then two faced behind yo back!” The string of posts attracted Hearn’s attention, who then clarified the situation in a separate post on his X handle while also hitting back.

Devin Haney and Eddie Hearn’s friction continues

Hearn, 45, disclosed that Haney had demanded the tickets at 6 am on the fight day. And the Matchroom Boxing lynchpin was busy preparing his fighters for one of the biggest events of their lives. In addition, he also sent advice to the lightweight boxer. He replied, “You asked me at 6am this morning. First I look after my fighters. Ask someone else and drop the arrogance.”

Interestingly, Haney and Hearn have worked closely for many years, more recently too, for his fight against Garcia. It seems the relationship might be all but broken because of the differences in their opinions, given the recent exchanges. However, nothing is concrete.
