While Paul claims he is liable to receive all of his shares for the bout, he has not presented any proof to back up his claims. Although he sued Mayweather for the same, the verdict has not been revealed to the public. In response to Paul’s claims, ‘Money’ Mayweather stated that paychecks from fights take time to be processed, as he is still waiting on paychecks from seven years ago. The unresolved financial dispute serves as a reminder of the complexities that can arise in the sport, especially with exhibition bouts.
