It is yesterday’s news that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, the holders of all four major heavyweight world titles, have signed a deal to fight each other. On the other hand, the world knows the long-awaited wish of Anthony Joshua to fight Deontay Wilder. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ also wants to fight Anthony Joshua soon.
Wilder aimed for a showdown with his British rival in the Middle East later this year. But according to Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, the negotiations for a Saudi bout failed to progress. Instead, they’re now looking for an alternative venue in February or March. Now, in a recent tease, AJ has stated a possibility for the Wilder match as part of the Usyk vs. Fury undercard fight. According to Sky Sports, Anthony Joshua talked about the upcoming big fight, the fight between Usyk and Fury. AJ elucidated how people have talked about this fight for a while. He highlighted the word in the public saying that the fight aims to determine the undisputed champion. Joshua then continued onto another exciting fight. In a teaser, he mentioned AJ vs. Wilder may be part of the undercard.
AJ said, “If they get this undisputed fight on [Usyk vs Fury], which has been looming for a while. Word on the street is that it’s supposed to be the undisputed fighters and then the undercard is supposed to be a big, lively one with me and Wilder.” Additionally, both fights promise to be big events.
Recently, it also appears that the British Boxer is quite serious about getting back into the ring thereby reigniting his boxing career.
AJ spends £2000 on a ‘darkness retreat’
Recently, Anthony took four days off for a darkness retreat. He spent £2000 to be alone without the internet or devices. The reason, he stated, was that he wanted to understand himself better. According to him, he’s changed after the experience. The retreat lasted from October 16 to Oct 20. Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets quarterback, popularized this technique.

After the conclusion of his retreat, he posted three pictures on Instagram. The caption read, “Unplugged from the matrix.” The first picture shows him by a campfire. Next, the second shows him drinking from a steel cup. Then, the third shows him shirtless by a pond. One thing that is perpetual in all the pictures is that he looks happy in all of them. Additionally, he also shared videos on Snapchat to bring his fans closer to his experience.
