Looking back at the moment, Holyfield said, I had hepatitis and you know so the doctor telling me saying you know you could have got suspended huh you go you could have gave that to somebody else.” 

Rather than succumbing to the despair of a potential suspension, he faced the dilemma head-on. The unspoken rule in the boxing world: hide your weaknesses, cloak your vulnerabilities. Yet, Holyfield made a bold decision to keep his battle with hepatitis in the shadows, stating, “I didn’t say nothing about it.” The victory back then was in Bowe’s favor. Bowe secured a unanimous decision victory, with scores of 117-110, 117-110, and 115-112.

However, Holyfield went on to become the only four-time heavyweight champion in history, defeating notable opponents like Mike Tyson and Michael Moorer.
