Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was always the crowd favorite in the ring. However, he was unsuccessful in recreating that same magic on social media. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ drew the ire of boxing fans with his recent tweet.

Wilder specifically mentioned, “We’re stronger TOGETHER than within the eyes of the devil.” He further added, “What’s understood don’t have to be explained.

The tweet left many fans perplexed. Moreover, fans started lashing out at Wilder after the tweet surfaced.

A fan, Lorne Newcombe particularly mentioned, “leave the boxing to the real men.

The fan further rephrased Wilder’s hashtag ‘#BombZquad’ using a more expletive ‘B** SQUAD‘.

Deontay Wilder faces the wrath of fans

As the tweet gained more visibility, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ faced the unforgiving wrath of boxing fans. Moreover, the fans’ comments paved way for an interesting and rather hilarious comment section.

This fan targeted Wilder’s consecutive losses to Tyson Fury. He specifically mentioned that Fury ‘owns’ Wilder.

A fan hilariously remarked how Wilder’s tweet was synonymous with teenagers posting motivational and mysterious quotes on social media in the 2010s.

In the same vein, this fan drew a comparison to Anthony Joshua‘s confusing quotes on social media.

Notably, a fan especially emphasized the second part of Wilder’s tweet, mentioning, “If we understood it wouldn’t need explanation.”

However, one of the most hysterical comments was when a fan remarked, “Ayahuasca?” In fact, the fan mentioned the psychoactive brew, Ayahuasca, in turn asking Wilder if he was high.

 

A glimmer of support amidst the chaos

Amidst all the negative comments, there were a few comments that supported Wilder’s tweet.

This fan chimed in at the seriousness of the tweet, mentioning, “This is extremely deep.”

This fan mentioned that he does not understand the hate that Wilder’s tweet is receiving. Moreover, he adds that the ‘fury club’ should be showing support. He finally ends by saying, “Hope to see you in the ring again, bomber.”
