Amid the negotiations for an imminent fight between Wilder and Ruiz Jr., the dialogue has stalled due to a disagreement over the fight purse. Ruiz Jr. and his team are demanding a 50-50 split. However, Wilder, expressing his strong disagreement with this proposition, stated in an interview with 78SPORTSTV, “This is definitely not a 50-50 fight”.

In a hard-hitting warning, Wilder cautioned Ruiz Jr. about the precarious nature of his future in the boxing scene if the current deal does not go through. He said, “Either he’s drunk or he’s on drugs – maybe both. If this deal falls through, you’ll never see him again in the boxing scene, especially not on PBC”
