‘The Gypsy King’ recently announced that he is coming back to reclaim his throne as the supreme overlord of the heavyweight division. This statement made by Tyson Fury has left fans excited about his return. However, it is worth noting that he has asked for an unbelievable amount of money to return to the sport. And, this has in turn evoked an intriguing response from his former opponent, Deontay Wilder.

Fury was on a phone call with TalkSport. In conversation, he mentioned that he was regularly being asked to fight the current champion, Oleksandr Usyk.
Moreover, he further added, “I’m retired from boxing and I’m very happy doing that. However, I will come back but it has to be for obscene amounts of money.”
He also revealed that he would have fought for free, if the opponent was Anthony Joshua.
And this was when he dropped the biggest bomb about the amount he was looking at. Fury said, “It’s the biggest fight in the world so it needs to be the biggest payday in the world. Mayweather got £400 million (approx $462.5 million) to fight Pacquiao, I want £500m (approx $578.2 million)!”
Deontay Wilder on Tyson Fury demanding $500million to fight Oleksandr Usyk: “If he overprices himself, they know where to find me. $500million is definitely pricing himself out. I’m here, Deontay Wilder’s back. I’m here for all the smoke.”

What’s in store for Deontay Wilder?
Deontay Wilder was last seen in the ring on October 9, 2021, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. He faced Tyson Fury for the WBC and the Ring heavyweight titles. However, he lost the bout and was on a hiatus since.
It was recently reported that Wilder will make a comeback to the ring with a showdown against Finland’s Robert Helenius. The bout will take place at the Barclays Centre in New York on October 15, 2022.
Tyson Fury calls out Oleksandr Usyk’s manager
It surely is not a good idea to get into a war of words with Fury. As Oleksandr Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas will testify. The formidable Fury is equally competent with his words as he is with his hands.
