There have been speculations about an iconic event with two major heavyweight showdowns taking place on the very same night. It is said that there are ongoing talks to host both Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua in a single fight night. Fans have undoubtedly been excited ever since news about this potential event started doing rounds.  Meanwhile, Wilder had a few choice words to say about his potential fight with Joshua.

Wilder and his trainer, Malik Scott were recently in an interview with ESNEWS. In conversation, he was asked about the speculated fight with Joshua. Wilder wasted no time in saying, “Let’s make it happen. If that’s what’s going on. Let’s make it happen.”

The interviewer further pressed him by asking him how he would fare against Joshua. This was when Wilder exclaimed, “I’ll just keep it sweet. I’mma give Saudi their first knockout victim. You know what I mean. I can deliver that for you. You know they haven’t had that much excitement for a knockout.”

Moreover, he further added, “You know any Deontay Wilder fight you can expect that. But, this one’s going to be something special. I’ve got something special, that I’m gonna put on a punch with this one.”

Scott, on the other hand, was also in agreement with Wilder’s words. And mentioned that he was certain that the ‘Bronze Bomber’ will take ‘AJ’ down in three rounds.

Eddie Hearn opens up about the potential fight

While the talks about the fight have kept fans on the edge of their seats. Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently dropped the bomb on the high possibility of the fight happening.

He said, “There is definitely conversations that are taking place. Just of plans, where people would like to host Fury against Usyk and AJ against Wilder on the same night. It’s gonna cost a lot of money but would be epic, and we will have those conversations.”

Moreover, he also mentioned that the fight would end up being a ‘$400 million’ event.
