While talking to Fighthype.com, Wilder discussed what a boxer goes through. He said, “I have sacrificed my life for other’s entertainment.” Wilder explained that people can only see, but they cannot relate to or understand what he is saying.
Furthermore, he added, “It takes a lot for us to get up, or train and get ourselves together. Feels, months at a time to break our body down. Then get in the ring, get hit in the head. The head is not supposed to be here in the first place.”

“They all talk about, it’s a lot of mental health, it’s a lot of PTSD, a lot of stuff that fighters deal with. But you know, a lot of them want to keep that toughness about themselves. Don’t want to let people know or see certain things wrong with them. We are warriors at the end of the day,” said Wilder.
A lot of athletes suffer from mental health issues, and ‘The Bronze Bomber’ tried to explain it to his fans during this interview. Recently, Adrien Broner pulled back from his long-anticipated return to boxing, which was set to happen on August 20th. He revealed his withdrawal through Instagram, stating that he is facing mental health issues.
