Following a huge-lay off since February, which included several controversial turns, former WBC champion Deontay Wilder has envisioned an in-ring return by early 2021. Although he is still without a definite opponent, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ doesn’t want to hold himself back anymore.
Having faced the maiden defeat of his pro-career against Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder was about to step up for the trilogy fight. However, the contest is far from being materialized. Both the parties have blamed each other for the delay.
That said, Wilder has already begun his training and with no further turmoil, we can see him in action soon.

Meanwhile, Wilder has remained silent for a long time since his defeat and did not provide any definite plans for a comeback. However, this time he appeared ready as he connected with Brian Custer to shed light on his possible future.
Speaking about his return date, the knockout artist said, “You can see me back in the ring sometime the first week of January, the latest the early February and we are looking through opponents now. I am saying we are not gonna sit around and wait on no coward.”
He added, “I am saying that have an obligation to fulfil but ran away from it. We are not gonna sit around, man. We gotta get back in the ring. I have got a lot of fans that’s looking forward to me stepping back in the ring and doing what I do best. So, that’s what we are gonna do. So we are looking now and we are still training.”
Deontay Wilder- A knockout machine of the heavyweight division.
The former champion has been bashed by the entire boxing world for his loss and subsequent justifications. But, that still doesn’t change the fact of him being an A-lister of the division.

Wilder has an alarming resume of 42 wins (31 Kos)- 1 loss and 1 draw. Thus, Tyson Fury is his only opponent whom he couldn’t beat. If the trilogy fight happens, it will be a massive chance for Wilder to regain the top-spot, If not, he can still bag a big match against any of the top-contenders to hunt for the WBC gold again.
Meanwhile, Joshua has all the unified heavyweight belts and Wilder can possibly attempt to earn a fight there too. Thus, the American has several opportunities ahead to reign as a champion once more.
