Muhammad Ali captivated the public at large in various ways. Many were a fan of him because of his boxing style. Some were fans of his because of his ability to get under his opponent’s skin and stir up an entertaining lead-up. However, it bears mention that, many were invested to see himself be tested against many greats. He fought against the likes of Sunny Liston, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, and many such iconic fighters. One such iconic bout was against none other than Foreman. At the time, Ali was making a comeback to the ring after being suspended. Meanwhile, Foreman was the champion and quite an intimidating champion, to say the least. Subsequently, ‘The Greatest,’ was the big underdog going into the bout. Many thought the legend might suffer a devastating defeat.
However, in one of the biggest fights of all time, billed as, ‘The Rumble in Jungle,’ Ali pulled off an upset once again. Decades later, their bout continues to be discussed. Moreover, in a recent turn of events, their iconic rivalry made headlines in the boxing world— But why?

The $6 Million revelation of Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman
Their bout took place in 1974 in then, Kinshasa, Zaire, and now, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Fans all around the world were invested in the bout and is considered to be one of the most-watched events on television. Moreover, in so far as the bout is concerned, Ali won in a spectacular fashion. He knocked down Foreman in the eight and that was all she wrote.’The Greatest,’ once again proved his greatness and became the two-time heavyweight champion.

However, back in 2022, Ali’s belt that he won after defeating Foreman back in 1974 was sold for $6 Million. In a post made by BoxingHistory, it stated, “In 2022, Muhammad Ali’s belt that he won by knocking out George Foreman for the heavyweight championship in 1974’s “Rumble in the Jungle” sold for more than $6 million.”
