Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been making headlines recently ahead of his next exhibition fight. The former champion will face pro-MMA fighter John Gotti III, famous for his association with former American crime boss John Gotti. Although the bout is an exhibition, Gotti III left no stone unturned in showing his seriousness towards the fight. Moreover, he has even threatened to ‘kill’ ‘Money’ in the ring trying to bring out a fire within the 46-year-old.
However, it seems that a few of Mayweather’s infamous moments are doing rounds online as the fight approaches closer. In addition, fans recently revisited one of Mayweather’s most memorable fights against Shane Mosley, which left the boxing world in awe. The fight between the two Hall of Famers took place in 2010 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight started with Mosley making a strong impression in the first round, working on the body early on. However, it was in the second round that the three-division champion almost had Mayweather beaten. Mosley landed a powerful right hand sending Mayweather stumbling backward, barely standing on his unsteady legs. However, ‘Money’ Mayweather quickly regained his composure and grabbed hold of Mosley, and locking his arm, preventing him from causing any further damage.
