David Benavidez is eager to share the ring with Canelo Alvarez. ‘El Bandera Roja’, who has been pushing for this match, sent out a chilling warning. Although his message was strictly directed to Mexican Phenom, Benavidez’s words are for anyone who ever dares stand in his way.

On April 16th, when Errol Spence Jr. locked hands with Yordenis Ugas inside the AT&T Stadium, Benavidez ran into an unexpected altercation with Jermall Charlo.

Later that night, in an interview with Radio Rahim, the superstar said, “I would definitely win. Everybody I’d go against, I’d win.”

This statement of intent exhibits the youngster’s confidence, but is he truly worthy of a bout against the mighty superstar?

His relentless head-and-body-work, as shown in the Cobbs, Williams, and Douglin fights, exhibits his impressive gas tank and power. Looking at this, if one thought Benavidez equaled only power and stamina, they would be mistaken.

In the Medina fight, during the end of round 4, ‘El Bandera Roja’ hit the former with an insane seven-punch combination. Doing so, he demonstrated not only the ability to land from a wide range of angles but also some busy and fast hands.
