Since retiring from boxing, Mike Tyson has become a prominent internet icon as he runs a successful podcast called Hotboxin with Mike’. The two-time heavyweight champion not only invites huge names in boxing as his guest, but people from various industries and fields join in as guests.
Recently, the ‘Baddest Man on Planet’ had the founder of the famous sports blog, Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, as his podcast guest. Portnoy shed light on his experience with rapper Gucci Mane.

Dave Portnoy explains what happened between him and Gucci Mane to Mike Tyson
The founder of Barstool Sports joined Tyson on his podcast, where he elaborated on his experience with the American rapper Gucci Mane. Portnoy claimed that he wasn’t really a big fan of his. However, his girlfriend, Silvana Mojica is an extremely big Gucci Mane fan.
Additionally, he stated he wanted to click a picture with him for his girlfriend during a Celtics game. He said, “So I’m like, you know what? I’m gonna send her a photo. I just reach over right. It goes just me. I’m like, can I grab a quick photo?” However, Mane refused to click a selfie, claiming that he was eating. Portnoy said, “He said no, he’s like no I’m eating, he was not eating.”

Consequently, Portnoy did not appreciate this by the American rapper and said, “I thought it was an asshole move. I ranted about him. You know not giving me the photo so that’s it “ Additionally, fans have warned Portnoy to be careful of Gucci Mane saying “he may be somebody you don’t play with.”
How did Portnoy come up with the idea of Barstool Sports?
Dave Portnoy always had the passion and interest in sports that he displays now. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Education and went on to work at Yankees Group.

Portnoy started writing the sports section for a local newspaper in 2003, along with his childhood friends. Consequently, by 2007 Portnoy moved his idea online and founded Barstool Sports, which is currently one of the biggest sports and pop culture blogs on the internet.
