The world wishes the boxing great and living legend many happy returns of the day! Mike Tyson turned 58 today. Millions of boxing fans are celebrating this this day, by sending their best wishes to their icon. But first, the family. The loved ones of the youngest heavyweight champion in the sport’s history joined in with heartfelt wishes and tributes. From the former champion’s tennis-loving daughter, Milan Tyson, to his sons Miguel and Amir, or other family members, everyone came together to wish the patriarch a wonderful day and a fantastic year ahead.

The wishes are all the more meaningful given the medical scare ‘Iron’ Mike faced last month. It really shocked and scared the whole boxing world. Due to increasing concerns, his upcoming match with Jake Paul was postponed. The much-anticipated fight was initially schedule to take place on July 20 at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium. However, after the boxing great’s ulcer flare-up, the match was rescheduled to November to give him ample time to recuperate and get back into training. Nevertheless, doubts and questions over the fight still persist.

But first, the birthday of the great man. Through her Instagram story, his 16-year-old daughter wrote, “Happy bday papa bear. I love you so much hope you have an amazing bday with @mikeangeles love you, papa bear.” The slide features a beautiful and attractive photo of Mike Tyson holding a toddler, Milan Tyson. Then his son Miguel Tyson poured his heart into a post.

The Spanish-speaking son shared deep love, admiration, and respect for his father’s dedication as a family man. He seemed completely moved by the impact his father has had on their lives, describing him as the most inspiring person he has ever known. Over the years, as a family, they faced several challenges. However, as a father and head, Mike Tyson ensured that the family always came first.

The post features photos of him as a baby yawning, with Mike Tyson lovingly smiling beside him. The next snap showed the former heavyweight champion joined by children and relatives. Finally signing off with ‘Te Quiero’, which in Spanish means ‘I love you’, Miguel Tyson shared how proud he felt being Mike Tyson’s son. Among the multitude of fans, the post saw his siblings, Milan and Amir Tyson, also joining in with sweet messages and emoticons.

A nephew of ‘Iron’ Mike wrote in Arabic, “”Assalamualaikum, happy birthday, legendary uncle Mike Tyson👏👏👏❤❤❤🎂🎂🎂 “love you legend.” The post had a short clip featuring Tyson celebrating his birthday along with large group of friends and acquaintances.

Clearly the sporting world wants nothing but the best for one of the greatest sporting icons in history. May all his wishes come true and his influence and positive impact continue to guide many generations of boxers.

Everyone loves ‘Iron Mike, hence, shadows over ring return continue to loom

Celebrations aside, a recovering Mike Tyson assured all fans and reminded Jake Paul that he would be back to have his KO. “Different date, same fate. Imma knock out Jake Paul,” he said in a short video. However, concerns still persist about the fight. In the latest episode of his eponymous podcast, Joe Rogan even sounded skeptical over the fight still materializing per the year-end schedule.

The Mike Tyson fight is supposed to be in November… supposed to be…”Said the veteran UFC commentator. Then he further added, “But who knows if it’s ever going to happen? I mean, Mike has ulcers—he’s a 58-year-old man. That’s like a CEO problem to have.”

In other shows, such as Michael Bisping‘s podcast, the former UFC champion rather lambasted the problem child for continuing with his choice of picking opponents who are out of their prime, semi-retired, or even those who have hardly any line of record accredited in professional boxing.
