KSI has found his next opponent, and it might surprise you. During the Misfits Boxing 20, where former UFC star Darren Till knocked out Anthony Taylor in the main event, the YouTuber went ahead and called former Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge.

Everyone knows that the Misfits co-founder is a huge Arsenal fan and did not let this opportunity slide and took a dig at his West London rival. The duo got into a scuffle inside the ring after KSI taunted Bridge with the infamous John Terry chant. Misfits are promoting this fight as a huge deal, but the fight has not moved a needle in the professional world.

After all, Bridge is 44 years old now, and recently, we have seen what happens to the out-of-shape older guys in the boxing ring. Liverpool boxer Anthony Fowler shared his opinion on the fight and called out the absurd nature of it. Furthermore, the match left Darren Till befuddled as he did not hold back in showing his anger.

Darren Till furious over KSI’s choice

After successfully winning his first Misfits fight against Anthony Taylor, Till sat down with Ifn Boxing for an interview. During the interview, it looked like ‘The Gorilla’ was under the impression that KSI would choose him next. He shrugged off the conversation regarding Taylor’s clash and claimed that he was excited about his upcoming clash against KSI. “But listen, let’s not talk about that. KSI just called me out? What about him then? Who is he calling out? Who is talking to? So what’s the next fight innit March 28th. Me and KSI?” stated Till.

However, the interviewer corrected him and revealed the incident that happened inside the ring between KSI and Bridge. The revelation sent Till into a frenzy who was not able to believe the news. He was sure that his fighting KSI would make so much more sense and would attract a bigger payday. “That f***s Wayne Bridge? He’s fighting me mate. What’s he fighting Wayne for?” exclaimed Till, still trying to come to terms with the news.

It is not only the former UFC star who was not so keen on the declared fight. Former Olympic star Anthony Fowler also shared his views on the fight and dismissed it as a glorified one-sided beating.

A knockout waiting for Wayne Bridge

Fowler took to his ‘X’ and quoted the KSI and Wayne Bridge confrontation video posted by Misfits. He wrote, “How is this a huge announcement 😂,” in a direct reply to the caption by Misfits claiming KSI’s challenge as a “HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT 🤯.”

‘The Machine’ further added, “a retired 44 year old footballer who is gonna get knocked out for a few quid 💴,” already predicting the result of the fight. According to the 16-2 boxer, this bout will be the same as recent exhibition fights involving retired athletes.

During the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, we saw that age is not kind even to a former world champion. On the other hand, Wayne Bridge has stepped into the squared circle only once before. Furthermore, it has been 11 years since Bridge announced his retirement in 2014. Surely, Fowler’s statement makes some sense if we consider everything.

However, even though, the fight does not make any sense on paper, KSI has somehow created hype for the bout. Mostly, because of how he challenged the former English international, where he might have crossed a line.

As Fowler said, this bout does not make sense. Furthermore, if we look at recent trends, this might not end up well for Bridge. What do you think about the upcoming KSI vs. Wayne Bridge fight? Let us know your thoughts down below.
