Danny Garcia has given an insight into what was the reason behind him taking the Errol Spence Jr fight. The 32-year-old will box the unified champion on December 5 and will look to reclaim world champion status. Formerly a two-weight world champion, Garcia lost his title to Keith Thurman.
As a result, he missed out on the WBC title fight against Shawn Porter. However, he explained why he thinks this fight is his opportunity.

Speaking to PBC ON FOX on YouTube prior to the fight, fans see Danny ‘Swift’ Garcia with his father and trainer. The pair talk about their approach to the fight.
Garcia then shed light on why he took the fight. He said, “After the Mikey fight and the Porter fight, I saw some holes in his game, and I felt like it is a good opportunity for me to become champion again.”
The 36-2-0 American added, “He’s a great champion, I’m a great champion, and I feel like these types of fights bring out the best in Danny Garcia. They make me run that extra mile, they make me spar that extra round, they make me eat the right meals, and they give me the extra motivation I need. And I feel like this is the type of fight that will bring out the best in me and that’s why I wanted it.”

Danny Garcia will have to bring his A-game to beat Errol Spence Jr.
