On March 3, the third installment of the Creed franchise, “Creed III,” hit the screens across the US. Directed by actor Michael B. Jordan, who also donned the lead role of Adonis Creed. It is the first movie sans Sylvester Stallone. So far, the film has received positive reviews and reactions from fans and critics and has raked in over $100 million. Like its sister franchise, “Rocky,” the Creed series has also centered around a boxer’s life and ordeals. Hence, to get the moves and fight sequences as close to reality, Jordan pulled in the expertise of one of the best in the business.

Terence Allan Crawford, or simply Terence Crawford, has been ruling the 147 lbs—Welterweight alongside arc rival Errol Spence Jr. The outstanding southpaw has been a world champion in three weight divisions. He still holds the WBO Welterweight title that he won in 2018. Last year, ESPN ranked him, pound-for-pound, the best active boxer of 2022. Renowned for his ring IQ, speed, and strength, one of the most critical qualities that separates Crawford from other fighters is his ability to switch from southpaw to orthodox and vice versa.

So during an interview given to BT Sport Boxing roughly two weeks ago, Jordan described how it felt working with the formidable champion. He said, “Terence’s great man; he’s a workhorse. I mean, that dude, he just he’s just different, you know, just from, like you know, you know, being in the ring with him to to to uh, you know, just working out and drills and his pace and stamina…endurance bro is next level.

Interestingly, besides advising Jordan, Crawford played a cameo in “Creed III” as Lorenzo ‘Nightmare’ Jones.

Yesterday, fans and followers caught sight of the duo’s camaraderie when @ESPNRingside shared a minute-long video. First, the Creed star checked a point with the boxing champion. And the latter immediately got up and clarified the actor’s doubts through a series of combinations in tandem with the trainer’s mitts.

The presence of two accomplished individuals in the same place was enough for fans and followers to jump in and share their thoughts. So far, the clip has received over 250k views and almost the same number of retweets.

Reel Champion to real champion

@Mr_getPAID was bewildered that a known southpaw like Crawford could easily switch to an orthodox stance!

@womenrule30 was flabbergasted to find two professionals who have excelled in their respective fields, one in acting and the other in boxing, at the same place.

@alsoto114 says Terence Crawford remains the best boxer in the Welterweight division. But seeing him in the current stage is frustrating. He should face boxers like Conor Benn; after all, fighters in Britain are always ready for a match. So, to grab Errol Spence Jr.’s attention, first, he should win every fight in the 147 to 154 lbs there.

@someinserious mentioned how it is only a matter of time before fans got to see the Crawford – Spence Jr. fight.

According to @FaranQamar94, in the 140 to 154 lbs. divisions Terence Crawford stands apart from the rest. Therefore, a match with Errol Spence Jr. would be the best possible outcome. However, according to the fan, without a doubt, Crawford would defeat Spence Jr. despite the latter’s size advantage.

Finally, @realfactsguy, while getting it correctly for Crawford, not sure whether out of fun or for sheer lack of knowledge, addressed Michael B. Jordan as the basketball “GOAT.”

It would be interesting to note that apart from Terence Crawford, “Creed III” had quite a few real-life boxers. For example, super Middleweight (Interim) champion David Benavidez‘s brother Jose Benavidez Jr. played the role of Felix Chavez. At the same time, former Cruiserweight title holder Tony Bellow reenacted “Pretty” Ricky Conlan‘s role. Not least, Canelo Alvarez also made a cameo appearance as himself.
