Ryan Garcia‘s desire is finally being fulfilled after Rolly Romero pulled out of a fight that Garcia has earlier confirmed. He is now set for an even more significant bout against Devin Haney. The fight was confirmed by Golden Boy Promotions and will be broadcasted globally on DAZN.

Haney, the former undisputed lightweight champion, on the other hand, remains undefeated and has set a good record for himself. In short, he is a formidable opponent for Garcia. Amidst all of this, former welterweight world champion Andre Berto has held Garcia in high regard for taking up the biggest fights and giving fans a good show. He took to social media platform X to praise Garcia.

While most people only know him as the man Floyd Mayweather fought to keep his perfect record intact, Berto is a lot more. The man was ranked the third-best welterweight in the world, only behind Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. To get praises from such a legend demands skills that stand out. Berto on X wrote, Gotta show Ryan Garcia some respect, kid showing he doesn’t care about protecting the record. Just trying to make the biggest fights happen in his division.” Praising him for not picking easy fights.

This praise came after the confirmed Haney vs. Garcia bout. Berto followed by saying, ” He’s popular, has a huge following. He could easliy play the internet game and fight bums but he wants real respect.” Talking of how Garcia has a huge follower base and yet he chooses the hard way to the top. All of these feats of Ryan Garcia are what make him stand out from the rest and deserve the respect and friendship of legends like Andre Berto and Mayweather himself. The one thing that sticks out the most, however, is Garcia’s only loss in his record. He took time to explain his loss.

Ryan Garcia reveals information about a mole in his camp

In a recent podcast on Valuetainment, Garcia talked about his fight against Gervonta Davis. KingRy was forced to take a knee in round seven after a punch from Davis. His first loss was handed to KingRy when he was unable to make the referee’s count. Reportedly, Garcia was suffering from a rib injury before the fight. He suffered it during his camp due to extreme weight loss. Someone had allegedly leaked this information to Davis’ team giving him a definitive advantage.

Garcia on the podcast said, “My rib got separated because I was losing so much weight… There was only three people, I’m sorry, four people that were in there… That’s why Gervonta knew. I got Judased.” Furthermore, Garcia went on the reveal that Mayweather had paid someone a great sum of money for the information. He said, “Mayweather paid somebody $100,000. I don’t know necessarily who it is. I have an idea, there was only three people that were in the gym at the time.” All of this had helped Davis put the first loss on Garcia’s record.
