Jake Paul will re-match Tyron Woodley on December 18 in Miami, a fight that has come out of sheer turmoil and controversy. Paul was initially lined up to face Tommy Fury before the Brit camp walked away, providing reports of Fury’s medical setbacks as the reason. Woodley, who had been vocal about bagging the rematch ever since the original fight, has finally earned his chance. However, the former UFC welterweight champion cannot wear Grant gloves in the fight.

Per reports, Jake Paul requested Woodley’s camp to use some other brand. Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time where Paul has been accused of such special requests. Back when Paul vs Fury was official, John Fury had blamed Jake Paul for avoiding legitimate drug testing. While that is an irrelevant topic now, the recent reports regarding the gloves can raise several more queries.

As per the findings, Jake Paul will wear his custom-Grant gloves with more wrist protection and less padding. Meanwhile, Tyron Woodley can wear classic Everlast gloves this time. There were rumors that Paul vs Woodley’s original fight was held under a no-knockout clause. But no official reports verify the illegal occurrence.

That said, the rematch can be under sheer scrutiny, with both men entering the ring at equal capabilities. Following a controversial split decision win in August, Jake Paul tasted his toughest battle against Woodley. ‘T-Wood’ came close to knocking ‘The Problem Child’ out when the ropes held him back. The aftermath of the fight was also dramatic and Woodley actually inked ‘I Love Jake Paul’ per the pre-fight bet, and is on the brink of re-colliding with Paul.

Irrespective of what happened in the first fight, the re-match can look a bit different under some unique conditions. Paul was training to face a pro-boxer and can show sheer developments in his game this time. However, the re-match is happening in a gap of less than 4 months. Thus, we cannot expect it to be very different from the first fight. As for Woodley, he might not check his shots and can go all-out assaulting ‘The Problem Child’. Jake Paul can’t let Woodley dominate the fight.
