Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown knows how to poke fun at others. The former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver is known for deliberately picking online tussles with former teammates, coaches, and other influential figures. However, this time, KingRy is at the receiving end of AB’s barbs. The sporting fraternity has been hooked on the news of boxing star Ryan Garcia’s one-year ban from the ring. It has become a hot topic as fans and people from the boxing world have been giving their opinions on the subject. Amidst this, Brown took to X to take a jab at the boxer.

Garcia and Devin Haney locked horns inside the squared circle on April 20th. ‘KingRy’ tested positive twice during the fight week for a banned performance-enhancing drug, ostarine. Almost 2 months after the fight, NYSAC ruled the bout as a no-contest and suspended Garcia for a year while asking her to pay $1.2 million in fines to Golden Boy Promotions and $10k to the NYSAC. In an attempt to tease Garcia, take a look at what Brown had to say about it.

Is it a social-media antic to stay relevant?

The boxer from Victorville and his legal team stated that it was more likely a case of supplement contamination than intentional consumption. But as per NYSAC’s order, it is considered against the law. Deliberate or not, we can’t say, but Antonio Brown shared something online that surely must have offended Ryan Garcia. In a post on X, the controversial wide receiver wrote, “Yo @RyanGarcia wtf is OSTARINE send me some of this sh*t.”

Ostarine is not FDA-approved and is still under investigation. While it’s a Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM) that interacts with muscle proteins, to boost the growth fo muscles. It is difficult to know for sure if Garcia actually took the medication on purpose or not. However, as an athlete, he must ensure that he takes the appropriate supplements to avoid any legal repercussions.

The boxer has not responded to the post yet, but a lot of people have reacted to it online. Whether you like him or not, Brown is good at keeping up with the times and often uses social media to make controversial remarks. Meanwhile, for Garcia, his legal team is already out fighting off the allegations that he knowingly consumed Ostarine.

Ryan Garcia’s legal team issues another statement refuting the claims

The boxer’s legal team, in their official statement, questions whether NYSAC’s decision really does justice to the situation or not. The new statement from his team read, “Ryan Garcia beat Devin Haney, and this result will never be erased from the public and media.” It was a super lightweight fight, and the two fighters were required to weigh 140 pounds. However, ’King Ryan’ came 143 pounds overweight. As per his legal team’s statement, Haney could have chosen to stop the fight due to the weight clause. “But instead, (Haney) negotiated heavily and agreed to the “cash grab” and the fight.”

On the other hand, even ‘The Dream’ has claimed that he is being underpaid due to the loss by Garcia. Even though Haney’s record is unblemished as the fight was ruled a no-contest, he still has to deal with the fallout. Haney’s physical and mental health has been impacted by the entire incident, thus the boxer has chosen to pursue more legal action against Garcia.
