It’s common knowledge that Mike Tyson has been a devout Muslim for the better part of a decade. However, the former heavyweight champion certainly does not stick to all the preachings of his religion. This was proven after his excessive spending on marijuana recently came to light.

On his podcast HotBoxin, Tyson claimed that he spends over $40,000 a month on Cannabis which came as a shock to many. However, this would not have been surprising given his open admission of drug abuse in the past. Despite that people felt that his budget for this was far beyond a normal person which was quite shocking.
In addition, the fans were quick to call out ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ for the absurd amount of money he spent on weed.
Fans call out Mike Tyson for his marijuana budget
One fan stated that Tyson’s actions were very ‘contradictory’ given that he was with rapper DJ Khaled at the Mecca in Saudi Arabia, a holy site for followers of Islam but still smoked $40,000 worth of drugs.
“This guy is a little contradictory 2 weeks ago he is on a pilgrimage with DJ Khaled and here he is posting the number of blunts he smokes” he wrote.
Another fan was shocked just at the amount Tyson spent on his cannabis. “”40000 dollars I honestly don’t believe it…” he wrote.
Moreover, one fan claimed that this was quite a remarkable feat by the former champ. “40000 dollars a month it’s hot!!” he wrote.
However, one fan defend ‘Iron Mike’ and asked why it should matter if the drug helped him calm down.“If it helps calm him down, why not?” he wrote.

The fans were quite stunned after getting to know the money Tyson spends. However, he has been an advocate for cannabis launching many businesses in and around the cannabis industry.

Tyson owns many businesses in the industry but some stands out from the rest. His cannabis brand Tyson 2.0 has been his most successful venture and also includes his famous “Mike Bites’ which are cannabis-infused edibles in the shape of an ear. This is a nod to the infamous ear bite incident which occurred during Tyson’s match with Evander Holyfield in 1997.
The brand is also about to announce a partnership in Canada with the team looking at possible expansion in places like Thailand, Uruguay, Germany and the UK.
