Conor Benn tested positive for Clomifene in his VADA drug test last year and has been embroiled in controversy ever since. The allegation is severe and can potentially jeopardize his career as a professional boxer. Due to this, Benn has suffered a great hit to his reputation as a clean and fair boxer but also suffered financially.
He recently stated that he has considered legally suing the BBBofC as he considers the positive test to be frivolous. Many in the boxing community, including fighters, did not appreciate his comments and have come out publicly to condemn him.

Reading up on the same, World champion boxer, Sunny Edwards publicly condemned Benn. He took to Twitter and stated, “Public suicide. I genuinely hope the board win.”
One might argue that indeed Benn should not take a legal course of action against BBBofC since the commission had a codified rule and they were merely following through with their course of action. Though, only time can tell the outcome of the legal dispute if the boxer truly stays true to his words and files a suit.
