UK’s rising star Conor Benn will put his unbeaten record and the WBA (Continental) welterweight title on the line when he steps up to face veteran Colombian Samuel Vargas on April 10.

The 10-round main event clash will happen in the Wembley Arena, London, putting two elite punchers against each other. While Benn has fierce KO power and an undefeated mindset, Vargas has a 39-fight experience under his name.

Hence, both men will have equal chances of dismantling each other. This sets the stage for an intriguing collision, and fans can expect to see fireworks when Conor Benn and Samuel Vargas collide.

Conor Benn vs Samuel Vargas- Preview

Stylistically, both men are orthodox, with almost similar heights. 5’9” Vargas will enjoy only an inch advantage against Conor Benn. However, Benn would also enjoy some serious advantage, considering his KO abilities.

Following two back-to-back- knockouts in 2019, Benn achieved his sole win of 2020 via a unanimous decision against Sebastian Formella. So, it’s safe to assume that the 24-year-old will try to return to the KO column.

Meanwhile, Vargas suffered a crushing defeat to Vergil Ortiz Jr. in 2020 and currently boasts of 31 wins, 6 losses, and 2 draws. He will also try to regain his winning ways, with Benn standing in front of his goal.

Nevertheless, the 31-year old is a veteran pugilist and has been a professional for over a decade. He can use his experience and try to drag the fight deeper. Even though Benn can try to end the fight quickly, Vargas would have an advantage if the matchup goes to the latter rounds. But the bout may not last till the final bell, and we can see one of them getting floored before that.
