After the 2018 New Year fight in Japan, Floyd Mayweather will return to Saitama Super Arena to face Mikuru Asakura for yet another boxing exhibition fight. Asakura’s roots lead to mixed martial arts and in the respective sport, he has a record of 3 losses and 16 wins. He fights in the featherweight division of Rizin, stands 5’10” tall, and weighs in at 145lbs. Although Asakura is 15 years younger than ‘TBE’ and has 5 inches of a reach advantage, Mayweather’s attainment is unique and he consequently possesses a tremendous experience in his sport.
Recently, in an interview, Mayweather was asked for comments on his opponent, Asakura. He said, “I don’t worry about no opponent. I’m the best. I’m the best in the world. So, I wanna go out there, have fun and get the people excited. Japan is a great place. So many beautiful people, great atmosphere, I’m just happy to be here.”

On September 24, Mayweather vs. Asakura will go live. After his fight with Don Moore this past May, Mayweather will be fighting for the second time. But did he even care to watch his opponent’s videos for training purpose?
Mayweather answered by saying, “I don’t really care about anyone’s videos ’cause you edit videos, and you know a lot of people like to edit videos where when you see me you already know what I can do. He’s a good opponent. I’m happy that we’re able to come together and make it happen. Rizin, I wanna say thank you. I wanna say thank you to everyone in Japan. And tune in.”
