“Come Get the Belt”: Rolly Romero Sends an Open Challenge to Ryan Garcia

Rolando Romero successfully defended his WBA super lightweight title against Venezuelan professional boxer Ismael Barroso. And after his win, he did not take much time to call out his next opponent. The 27-year-old called out Ryan Garcia to challenge his title. Garcia fought last in April, losing his bout against the Baltimore hard-hitter, Gervonta Davis. And since then, he has not announced his next fight. After his loss to Davis, Garcia has discussed moving to a higher weight division.

Romero challenged Garcia and is eager to get his hands on the 24-year-old. ‘Rolly’ also talked about Garcia’s desire to fight at 140 lbs and believes that he has the perfect opportunity for him.

After stopping Barroso, Romero did not waste any time in calling out Ryan Garcia and offering him a shot at his title. Furthermore, he made big claims about the fight between them both. Both the boxers were given their first loss by Gervonta Davis.

Romero said, “He’s at 140lbs, I’m at 140lbs. I have the belt, come get the belt.” This seems like an open challenge for ‘KingRy’ who is yet to react to this challenge. Romero further added, “That’s a fight everyone’s asking for. That fight’s the biggest fight in boxing right now.”

This will be a fight the fans will look forward to. Ryan Garcia is yet to respond to this callout. But, he recently took to social media to hint at an announcement. And, the fans are assuming that Garcia will be making an announcement regarding a potential fight with Romero. These two are well-established names in the division.
