Claressa Shields Pens One-Line Message While Predicting Jermell Charlo’s Fate Against Canelo Alvarez, Undercard Predictions for Erickson Lubin vs. Jesus Ramos Jr. And Yordenis Ugas vs. Mario Barrios Title Fight

In just a few hours, Canelo Alvarez will walk down the T-Mobile Arena to face the challenger of his undisputed crown, Jermell Charlo. The fans need to be mindful of Charlo being an undisputed champion in the super Welterweight division too. He’s moving up in the weight class to face the undisputed champion of the super middleweight division. This undisputed vs. undisputed clash is special because anything like this has never taken place before in boxing history.

She posted an Instagram Story where she shared the official poster of the Alvarez vs. Charlo fight and wrote her predictions.

On the top, she expressed her excitement for the Showtime event. She wrote, “I’m so excited for this!!!” Then in between Alvarez and Charlo, she wrote, “Let’s go [Jermell Charlo]“. Then for the co-main event, between Jesus Ramos Jr. and Erickson Lubin, she wrote, “Let’s go [Erickson Lubin]“. Then in another undercard bout for the vacant WBC interim Welterweight title, between Yordenis Ugas and Mario Barrios, she wrote, “Let’s go [Yordenis Ugas]“.

Now the fans know the name Shields would be cheering for. Claressa has supported him in the past as well. However, she also expressed concern regarding this bout because of the size difference between both fighters.

Shields is concerned regarding the fate of Jermell Charlo

Claressa Shields stated that the size does make a difference in fighting, and it’s not completely right to disregard that. Charlo moving up two weight classes may prove to be disadvantageous, but Shields stated that if one needs to succeed, then it’s important to take these risks firsthand. So she’s immensely proud of him for taking such a big step.

She posted on X about her disagreement with this fight. She wrote, “I don’t like the match up, because size matters! But shit skills, grit, that unwilling to lose Mindset matter too! So If I can conquer a giant so can @TwinCharlo let’s get his a**!!!! Dare to be great!!!! TEAM CHARLO MFS“.
