It takes a village to raise a child! It turns out, that this mother, Stormy Lee, didn’t get the memo, as her 7-year-old daughter used her credit card to buy a super luxury, high-end Marc Jacobs Tote Bag. And guess what? Undisputed middleweight queen Claressa Shields was left in disbelief when a clip of Lee confronting her daughter after the purchase surfaced on social media today!

Not too long ago, Lee took to TikTok, sharing the clip in question, where she caught her 7-year-old daughter flaunting the bag, which Lee claims set her back an eye-watering $600/£500. When the mother confronted her daughter, who seemed proud of her lavish purchase, said, “No seven-year-old has a $600 purse,” Lee was met with a response from the daughter that would leave anyone stunned.

Her daughter obnoxiously responded she wasn’t “like them”. If that wasn’t enough, the daughter who quickly got branded “spoiled” by people online added, “I’m not cheap like that.” Shocked by this arrogant retort from the young fashionista, the mom asked, “‘What do you mean, you’re not cheap like them?’ You don’t have the money to buy a $600 purse! That’s mine – my money!”

Later in the video, the fashion-loving child revealed she had learned how to order things online from her mother. The kid said, “I look from the window and you’re ordering a new purse every single time.” Even though the seven-year-old was adamant about keeping her astronomical purchase, Lee made it clear that the bag would be returned immediately.

The clip was later shared on X by a user, who goes by the name ‘non aesthetic things’, and that’s where Claressa Shields discovered the entire story. Much like the people in the comment section of the post, Shields was absolutely gobsmacked with the entire situation, as she responded to the clip with a single word: “Whattttt!!!!!!”

Claressa Shields might not be able to believe what this seven-year-old did, but she understands what’s at stake in her upcoming bout against Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse.

Claressa Shields is looking for a title in a new division

It’s a humongous step for Claressa Shields—the undefeated Flint, Michigan native, who normally fights at the middleweight division, is climbing up several weight classes to square off against Lepage-Joanisse in the heavyweight division for the latter’s WBC heavyweight title. Despite that, Shields told a flock of reporters in a press conference in Flint, “I just don’t believe that there is a woman who’s on this earth that can beat me.”

Her 7-1 heavyweight opponent was also present at the press conference, who tried to pull Shields a peg down or two by reminding her about her heavyweight power. Speaking plainly in French, Lepage-Joanisse, through her translator, said, “It remains to be seen if she can take the punch of a heavyweight… What’s going to matter is… during that fight…can she handle the power.” The fight itself is scheduled for July 27th at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, where both fights will get the opportunity to back their statements.

Claressa Shields, who has always been quite outspoken both on and off of social media, could only muster up one word to describe her thoughts about the seven-year-old buying a $600 bag. But then again, such things often don’t make their way to social media. What did you think about the clip?
