A year on the sidelines is going to be too much for Ryan Garcia to bear. Even after The New York State Athletic Commission’s guilty verdict on Ryan Garcia’s PED usage, he is still vehemently protesting his innocence on social media. He has found a new fall guy. A person who goes by the name ‘Scooter’. In a face-to-face chat between Garcia and Bill Haney, that happened not too long ago, the 25-year-old boxer said, “Scooter is the one that gave me the supplements. I’m I’m gonna always stand by the truth. Scooter gave me the supplements.

Ryan claims that the banned substance Ostarine got into his system through the tainted supplements he received from ‘Scooter’. But is there any truth in his insinuations? Well, the two-division undisputed champion Claressa Shields and the now-retired former undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah attests to ‘Scooter’s’ squeaky-clean reputation in boxing.

‘KingRy’ denies knowingly consuming the PED Ostarine which has been on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s banned list since 2008. He thinks foul play is involved. A pre-meditated conspiracy to get him out of the boxing game. One of the key conspirators he is pinning the blame on was Judah’s “strength and conditioner” ‘Scooter’.

On X, Ryan wrote, “So, Scooter the one that gave me supplements, that were tainted. Was the guy who was the strength and conditioner for Zab Judah. And he knew he was helping me lose weight the last day.”

For those who haven’t been following the saga closely, Garcia was struggling to lose weight in the Devin Haney fight. Hence, he took the help of supplements to make weight ahead of the fight. Ultimately, it was of no use as he weighed 3.2 pounds heavier than the 140-pound weight limit. Consequently, Haney’s WBC belt was off the table.

“And he knew he was helping me lose weight the last day. And that’s how all of a sudden knew I was going to test positive. So sick and sad,” Garcia further stated on X.

Coming to ‘Scooter’s’ defense, the former welterweight champion Zab Judah vouched for his innocence. While working alongside him, Judah claimed that he had never tested positive for PEDs.

n 1998 me and scooter Won The Jr Welterweight Championship We Never Failed A Drug Test. Ever !!!  @RyanGarcia 6X Undisputed,” Zab wrote on X.

Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Judah, Shields lent her support to Garcia’s fall guy, “And I work with Scooter too & NEVER FAILED A DRUG TEST! Been working with him for years!!!!!”

Going on a tangent, Garcia and Shields have been engaged in a long-running verbal battle following his PED controversy. The former light-middleweight champion wants Garcia to take accountability for his actions rather than blame-shifting.

In a long X post, Shields asked Garcia to stop using the social media platform to “mislead” people. Furthermore, she asked Garcia to “look in the mirror” rather than “pointing the finger at everyone else” for his current predicament.

In her previous tweets, Claressa expressed her frustration with Garcia’s social media antics and NSFW messages in her DM, insinuating that his behavior might be fueled by “ostarine mixed with fentanyl”.
