Claressa Shields made her Twitter account private after ‘MMA Twitter’ trolled her. Boxing legend Claressa Shields shifted to MMA this year. She already fought and won on her PFL debut against Britney Elkins. Shields used her boxing skills to her advantage, knocking her opponent out in the third round.

Claressa Shields is off to a winning start in her MMA career. However, on October 25th, she recorded her first loss to the MMA community on Twitter. It all began with Shields tweeting out saying, “I’ll never understand why people can place bets on me & I don’t see any of that money. Kinda makes me think of taxes. I pay taxes because I work my a** off to make money just to pay taxes….. it’s all backwards to me”

A Twitter account by the name of @MeganMMA2 then tweeted out saying, “Claressa Shields startin to talk like Tito Ortiz.” Claressa Shields responded to this tweet and went on attacking and blocking random accounts on Twitter. Many users posted screenshots after Shields blocked them for tweeting something out about her.

Soon the entire MMA Twitter community chimed in and began trolling Shields. The Olympian then went on to make her account private and blocked the people trolling her. It seems nobody on Twitter was agreeing with her, so Shields decided that was enough Twitter for the day and protected her account.
