Two big rematches are on the horizon as a treat for Mexican boxing fans. Three-division world champion Emanuel Navarrete will put his WBO super featherweight title on the line against rival Oscar Valdez and WBO featherweight champion Rafael Espinoza will look to defend his title against Cuban star Robeisy Ramirez in a rematch as part of the all-Mexican Top Rank event on Saturday, December 7 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Navarrete defeated Valdez via a unanimous decision in August last year but has seen a majority draw against Robson Conceicao and a split decision loss to Denys Berinchyk in his last two fights. On the other hand, Espinoza, having defeated Ramirez in December last year, continues to dominate his opponent, setting the stage for an epic rematch.

Since suffering his second career defeat at the hands of Navarrete, Valdez has bounced back with a technical knockout win over Liam Wilson in March earlier this year. Conversely, Ramirez, since his loss to Espinoza, clinched the vacant WBO NABO featherweight title by defeating Brandon Leon Benitez via a 7th-round technical knockout in June earlier this year.
Regardless, the announcement seems to have been enough for fans to fall head over heels for the upcoming event.
What’s your perspective on:
Will Navarrete's recent struggles cost him the title against a determined Valdez this time around?

Emanuel Navarrete and Rafael Espinoza predicted to repeat history

One user branded the whole affair “Mexican Christmas 🔥” after discovering the announcement. With these two fights, the event will be nothing but an absolute slugfest.

Even the next user felt the same way about the Espinoza vs. Ramirez fight. “Espinoza stops Ramirez this time,” commented the user. Given their record and experience, that might very well be the case.
Someone else urged Top Rank to bring similar fights to Florida. “Ramirez – Espinoza was the best fight I’ve seen in person. Hope Top Rank can bring another card to South Florida soon 🙏🏽,” the user remarked. Luckily for this user, the Bakhram Murtazaliev vs. Tim Tszyu fight is going down in Orlando, Florida this Saturday.

While everyone else seemed excited about the event, this user took a dig at Top Rank. “Gotta recycle fights 😂😂😂😂,” the user wrote. Still, the event should be an awesome attraction for Mexican fans.
That being said, Top Rank seems to have put together a great card for the last month of this year. It will be interesting to see if the outcome of the rematches changes this time around. Would you tune in to watch?
