Is Chris Eubank Jr.'s lavish lifestyle justified by his boxing success, or is it just excessive?

Chris Eubank Jr. from Sussex, United Kingdom is hours away from locking horns against Poland’s Kamil Szeremeta at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The upcoming bout will mark his return to the ring after over a year of inactivity, as he looks to secure his second consecutive victory since his January 2023 loss to Liam Smith

The son of legendary boxer Chris Eubank Sr. will fight on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol for the IBO middleweight title. In the meantime, many are speculating how rich the Englishman has gotten through his fights and other sources of income over the years. Here’s a breakdown of Eubank Jr.’s net worth in 2024.

According to a report from talkSport, the British boxer is worth £5million, which is $6.5 million in the States. However, this number will likely go up after his fight against Szeremeta. Chris Eubank Jr. is coming off a 10th-round technical knockout win over Liam Smith in September last year—where he reportedly made £2 million, which roughly translates to $2.1 million.

However, in the previous bout, which Eubank had lost to Smith, he pocketed a bigger £2.4 million or $2.6 million. It’s worth mentioning that in October 2022, Eubank’s fight against Conor Benn fell apart because of the latter’s positive drug test. In that fight, Eubank was supposed to make a reported career-high purse of £7 million ($7.6 million). Regardless, in Eubank’s fight against Liam Williams in February 2022, the 33-3-0 boxer made £1 million ($1.09 million).

The Williams fight was the first time Eubank started making millions—before that, he made £400,000 or $522K in fights against Wanik Awdijan, Marcus Morrison, and Matt Korobov. He is also said to have pocketed £500,000 ($653K) in the fight against James DeGale. His prior big purse was against George Groves, a fight Eubank lost via a unanimous decision, where he made £775,000 ($1.01 million).

Other than boxing, Eubank Jr. seems to have landed a sponsorship deal with KFC as well. After his fight against Conor Benn fell apart, the English boxer told talkSport, “They are an awesome brand. I ate KFC in the build-up towards the Conor [Benn] fight and I made weight.” He even added, “They are sponsoring me now and supplying me with unlimited amounts of KFC.”
