“Cheaters Deserve to Be Fkd Up”: Floyd Mayweather’s Trainer Wants Caleb Plant and Others Associated With Victor Conte Out of Boxing

It’s no secret who influenced Floyd Mayweather Jr. regarding boxing. His father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., took care during the latter’s formative years and later in an on-and-off manner. But his uncle, former champion Roger Mayweather, groomed his nephew from 2000 and remained in charge of his training till 2012. Then, unfortunately, he left the world on March 17, 2020, because of worsening health conditions. Soon after, Mayweather Jr., who had embarked on exhibition fights after retirement from active boxing in 2017, hired a new trainer.

When Gerald Tucker fought at a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight

Cincinnati-born Gerald Tucker marked his professional debut in 2000 in the Super Featherweight division. Active for the next six years, he participated in six fights, of which five he won, and one went for a draw. Interestingly, the 1996 and 1998 National Golden Gloves champion debuted on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. versus Emanuel Augustus fight! However, in 2001, a personal tragedy forced him to abandon boxing and return home.

Barring an opportunity in 2013 to train a prospect recommended by rapper 50 Cent, Tucker remained outside of boxing. Finally returning in 2016, he won two matches, the first on April 1 and the second on June 6, unanimously. Now retired with an unblemished record, his resume has names like Gervonta Davis, Adrien Broner, Jamel Herring, and James Kirkland as trainees.

The former Super Featherweight fighter has nearly 80k followers on Instagram. Today, he shared a post that Angel Guillermo “Memo” Heredia had put initially. A former discus thrower and trainer from Mexico, Heredia specializes in doping.

The collage had a pic of Victor Conte Jr. and boxers Caleb Plant, Shane Mosley Jr., Andre Berto, and Luis Ortiz, among others.

Conte just another Felon utilizing the ignorance of many to get away with his BS…🤫🤫🤫 bloggers paid under the table etc. etc.”

The post’s next page carried a March 15, 2019, report titled “Athletes who’ve tested positive under Victor Conte.”

Taking the message to his followers, GT mentioned, “Get them Outta our sport for good and anybody they’re associated with.” The gig is up; Boxing is already a deadly sport; cheaters deserve to be f** up!!“

Seventy-three-years, Fresno, California-born Victor Conte Jr. used to be a bassist with the R&B and Jazz band Tower of Power. In his later years, turning to business, he founded the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative in 1984.

Reportedly he was sent to prison in 2005 after being found guilty of charges related to money laundering and the distribution of steroids. In 2011, he founded Scientific Nutrition for Advanced Conditioning (SNAC Nutrition). Based out of San Carlos, California, the company specializes in food supplements besides providing coaching for boxing.
