Canelo Alvarez, 33, is in his fighting prime. In the last three years, ‘Saul’ has fought a whopping seven times. In each of his bouts, he has either defeated a formidable opponent or faced an unthinkable challenge. Yet, the Mexican boxer felt the need to make a change. Over a month ago, Alvarez signed Al Haymon’s, ‘PBC’ for his next 3 three fights.
The undisputed super middleweight champion will face Jermell Charlo for his first bout out of his next three under, ‘PBC.’ Charlo is the current junior middleweight champion and will move up in weight class to potentially become a dual-weight champion. The betting odds consider Charlo a massive underdog. He has been inactive in recent years. In contrast to Alvarez’s consistency, Charlo has only fought thrice in the last three years.
However, it bears mention that the sport of boxing is unpredictable and one never knows what may be around the corner. Alvarez is aware of the same and is cutting no corners in preparation for this fight. In a recent viral video, the fans were left impressed with his slick head movement during his training. How different is Alvarez looking? How do the fans perceive it ahead of his fight against Charlo? Let’s break it down and unwrap some reactions.
