Davis hails from Baltimore and cares deeply about his hometown. Subsequently, he is renovating an entire neighborhood to provide affordable housing for its residents. ‘Tank,’ purchased buildings in Sandtown-Winchester for renovation, to make them an appropriate place to live for its residents. In addition, he hopes to be an example for others by paving the way.

He stated, “Everybody on this block, that once lived when I was here is a memory for sure.” Witnessing this, The CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe, took to Twitter and applauded this initiative. In a recent tweet, Ellerbe gave Devin Haney, a rival of Davis, due credit for branding himself as a formidable fighter. However, at the same time, he does not consider the super-lightweight champion to be comparable to Davis and is all praise for the Baltimore fighter. He stated, “Tank is just on another level, that’s all, and he has the best team in boxing.”
