Sergiy Derevyanchenko took a lot of time to understand Carlos Adames in the first round. The Ukrainian didn’t seem in a rush and landed almost zero power shots. While Adames kept moving all across the ring, Derevyanchenko just walked down his rival without putting any pressure.

Round 2, however, had a different tone. Sergiy Derevyanchenko offered aggression but came short against Adames’ dominance. The Dominican pugilist planted clean shoos and shook his Ukrainian rival. Sergiy Derevyanchenko wobbled a bit before regaining himself in the scrap. That said, the damage was already evident as he seemed drained of energy at a pretty early stage. However, Sergiy Derevyanchenko rebounded in round three. Although he consumed some heavy shots, ‘The Technician’ offered the same and baffled Carlos Adames. Ending the round with a left hook in his favor, Derevyanchenko comfortably entered round four. He didn’t let go of the control then and took his time to connect with more power shots. By then, Adames looked like he had touched the end of his gas tank. But he kept fighting. Halfway through the fight, both men had enjoyed moments of success and they seemed eager to continue.
