Canelo Alvarez is eager for his redemption against Dmitry Bivol. The reigning super-middleweight undisputed champion is trying to get in the ring with the Kyrgyz-Russian boxer. It is no secret that Alvarez wants to set things right from the first fight between the two. But, as eager as the 32-year-old is, the same cannot be said for Bivol. Who will not be enticed by the idea of a rematch from a boxer he has already beaten? However, negotiations are still underway for the fight to take place and recently, Eddie Hearn revealed what is delaying the finalizing of the fight.

Michael Benson from talkSPORT recently took to his Twitter to reveal a  revelation by Alvarez’s promoter Eddie Hearn about the reason for the delay in the fight coming to fruition. It was found that the delay is being credited to the Pound for pound boxer.

In a conversation with Benson, Hearn revealed that there is a discrepancy between both sides about the probable rematch. Dmitry clearly wants something more from this rematch but Alvarez’s side is not in agreement with him about the same. Recently, Bivol’s team made a statement about a potential rematch with ‘Cinnamon.’

But, the reigning undisputed champion is not of the same thought, and that is one reason for deferring the negotiations. Moreover, the Chairman of Matchroom Sport clarified that the delay is not because of Bivol overpricing himself.

This fight will have the attention of boxing fans as Canelito will be seeking revenge for the loss in the first fight. Boxing enthusiasts did not hesitate to reveal their thoughts regarding this much-awaited duel.
