The Rocky series has been one of the most influential franchises for boxing movies. And the Creed series that branched out of it was also a treat for boxing fans around the globe. The series is also well-known for casting notable names from the world of boxing. The recent trailer for Creed III left the boxing world in a frenzy after Canelo Alvarez, Tony Bellew, and Jose Benavidez Jr. made an appearance.

Creed III is set to be released on March 2023. The movie directed by Michael B. Jordan will see him essaying the role of Adonis Creed with Tessa Thompson and Jonathan Majors in supporting roles. But it is worth mentioning that Sylvester Stallone will not be reprising his role as Rocky Balboa.

The trailer that was recently released showed Bellew, Alvarez, and Benavidez Jr. making their presence felt.

Bellew had previously appeared in the first Creed movie. In fact, he played the main antagonist, Ricky Conlan. Meanwhile, this will be Alvarez’s first feature film appearance.

It looks like Bellew will reprise his role from the first movie. However, Alvarez’s role has not been revealed yet.

Boxing fans were intrigued to see the boxing icons on the big screen. In fact, a lot of them took to social media to share their thoughts.

A lot of fans were excited to see that Bellew will be reprising the role of Ricky Conlan.

Similarly, a few fans also mentioned that a Creed vs Conlan rematch might be on the books.

Meanwhile, a few fans felt that Alvarez might not have a role throughout the movie. And also mentioned that he might only make an appearance in a cameo role.

Additionally, some fans were also quick to remind viewers that Benavidez was also in the trailer.

On the other hand, user @HHuntedd felt that Dmitry Bivol should have been cast in the movie.

But a user named @BIGGangladesh was unsure about the weight class that Creed fights in. In fact, the user even mentioned that he was fighting opponents from 154 pounds to heavyweight.

However, user @86Davinci had a rather intriguing take on why a Creed vs Alvarez fight might not be a reality.
