Almost a decade after the match, Canelo Alvarez was asked about his views on Mayweather in his recent interview with ‘Fight Hub TV’.
“Mayweather’s style is a style that’s very difficult. He doesn’t hit or anything, but it’s really difficult to connect. It’s hard to get a good fight, it’s hard to get a really good fight.”
He narrates Mayweather’s style, an unpredictable one, and it’s very tough to break in the defense. In addition, he describes Mayweather doesn’t hit hard, it’s just his technique that makes him win.

Alvarez also added, “Yes, I did learn a lot, and more than anything else, I don’t want to experiment with a defeat. I learned a lot, I learned a great deal of things and that is how I’ll keep going.”
