Ahead of his homecoming fight against John Ryder, Alvarez discussed the rumor of Garcia joining hands again with Eddy Reynoso, who also trains Alvarez. In an interview with FightHype, The ‘Cinnamon’ was asked, what he thinks about Garcia joining hands with Reynoso again. To which, the champion had a rather unexpected answer.

Alvarez said, “You know am not a trainer. So Eddy need to think. And, value a lot of things.” The 32-year-old clarified that he was not speaking on behalf of Reynoso. “But, am not the trainer am no eddy. So whatever Eddy decides. Am gonna support him,” he added.
