Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant are slated to fight each other on November 6 for all the super-middleweight titles on the line. And recently, the pair was a part of the pre-fight press conference, wherein they engaged in a huge brawl that left everyone in awe.

During the press event, the pair launched some scathing verbal attacks on each other. But no one expected them to get into a physical altercation of this magnitude.

Following the brawl, Alvarez opened up on the entire incident and revealed why he pushed ‘Sweethands’.

Speaking to Showtime, he said, “He was talking about my mom. He said, ‘You motherf***er.’ You passed a line right there. That’s why I pushed him. He came back with a left hook. That’s what happened.” (h/t Michael Benson)

Alvarez, who’s known for his calm nature, abruptly lost his cool in this brawl and he couldn’t withhold himself from pushing his nemesis. This was principally the biggest altercation Canelo entered in his decorative boxing career.

Regardless of all that happened, the p4p star would like to answer his foe inside the ring on November 6. This fight already had the ingredients of a fierce slugfest, and the duo engaging in a violent brawl only added to the hype of this classic bout.

Also, the two fighters know about the prize on the line. Consequently, they’ll look forward to bringing their best versions to the ring.
