Triple H warns Canelo Alvarez

In an interview with SportingNews, the WWE legend couldn’t decide who could win this fight. He stated that Alvarez has improved a lot in the past couple of years and could win if he kept that same intensity. However, he also added that Golovkin doesn’t seem to be slowing down despite age catching up to him.

Canelo, over the years, has just improved right every single year. I feel like you see him. The improvement level is intense. GGG is on the other side of probably what he wants to be age-wise in his career. Is he slowing down? His last performance didn’t seem that way to me but it catches up with everybody I know that.’ he said.

Canelo in his head, but Golovkin in his heart

Moreover, Triple H claimed ‘GGG‘ was a technical fighter who could exploit weaknesses in Alvarez’s game plan if he was not cautious and touted this to be a great matchup. “If he takes a step back, ‘GGG’ is an incredibly technical and smart fighter. If there’s a hole there’s a weakness. GGG is going to take advantage of it so this will be a good fight. My heart says GGG, my head says Canelo.” he added.

Coming into the fight, Alvarez will certainly be the favorite to win. He is a much younger fighter and has been more active than Golovkin since their last fight. Moreover, ‘Saul’ has shown tremendous growth as a boxer in the past few years, cementing his legacy as one of the best to ever do it.

However, Golovkin’s tenacity cannot be ignored by Alvarez. He is a veteran in the sport who has given the Mexican champ a run for his money twice. Although it will be tough for him to win the fight, if there is someone who can do it, it is Golovkin.
