In a recent interview ahead of the fight, Garcia discussed Alvarez’s pick and wanted to end the beef with his former teammate. He stated that there was no bad blood between the two, despite ‘Cinnamon’ picking Davis to win. He added that he too picked other opponents to win in bouts when Alvarez fought. Moreover, he also wanted to use Alvarez’s ‘No boxing No life’ gloves in the match.
“You know, I Love Canelo. I’ve picked against him before in fights. This is just our opinion, no bad blood. If anything, it signifies that the bad blood is over when he might let me use his gloves, no boxing, no life for this fight,” he said.
