Canelo Alvarez seems ready to create history yet again on November 6 against Caleb Plant. The winner of the clash will be crowned the maiden undisputed 168 lbs champion. And Alvarez, who is 2-0 so far in 2021, has constantly vowed to beat his rival. ‘Sweethands’ Plant has similarly expressed his superiority on the mic. However, given Alvarez’s vast resume, Saul is the favorite.
We are days away from seeing who can actually stand by their words. American fighter Plant has been unbeaten so far. Thus, he has a fair chance to win. Amidst all of it, Alvarez doesn’t intend to talk anymore. The P4P king has said enough and has urged the fans to wait until the fight night.
When asked by Complex Sports about what fans can expect from the electrifying matchup at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Canelo Alvarez replied, “Just imagine. So much more.”

Alvarez and Plant had a heated scuffle when the two came face-to-face in the first official presser for their fight. After sharing verbal cusses, they traded blows. Plant slapped Alvarez and got hit by a punch in response.
It set the road clear for an interesting scrap. As both men look stoked and steady, anything can happen in the ring. However, it can also be a lopsided fight, similar to some of Canelo Alvarez’s recent victories. The Mexican star recently handed Callum Smith and Billy Joe Saunders their maiden defeats. Thus, Plant might fall in the same bracket, unless he has something interesting in his arsenal.

Plant can use several of Alvarez’s performances as a blueprint for his success story. The mighty Alvarez has seemed human in some of his fights. Floyd Mayweather handed Alvarez his maiden and only pro-defeat so far in 2013. Mayweather schooled a 23-year-old Alvarez, but that’s in the past.
Erislandy Lara and Gennady Golovkin could crack Alvarez to some extent in the past few years. Lara lost his shot at Alvarez, but exposed a few loopholes in his Mexican rival’s game. Meanwhile, GGG earned a draw against Alvarez in their first fight, which many believe could have gone in Golovkin’s favor.
