The Canelo Alvarez and Oscar De La Hoya feud has been one of boxing’s most surprising and longest disputes in recent history. Alvarez and his former promoter have been at loggerheads with each other ever since Canelo cut ties with him and Golden Boy Promotions.
Things turned sour between them when Alvarez started a legal dispute against De La Hoya regarding his contract. Ultimately, the Mexican won and split from De La Hoya. Since then, both have constantly taken digs at each other. And the pair have now engaged in yet another verbal battle.

It all started when De La Hoya commented on a video of Canelo teaching a young fan. He wrote, “Please, this guy does everything wrong, head up when he throws hooks, on his heels, flat footed. What else? Oh he avoids @twincharlo.”

Unsurprisingly, this comment did not go down well with Alvarez. He lashed back with, “@oscardelahoya oh really you want me to talk??? F***ing traidor [traitor].” The 56-2-1 boxer followed it up with, “@oscardelahoya do me a favor and go f— yourself,” and then added a few kitchen utensils emoticons referring to De La Hoya’s previous scandals.

Jermell Charlo has his say on the Canelo Alvarez and Oscar De La Hoya beef
The comments from De La Hoya not only criticized the Mexican’s ability but also accused him of ducking junior-middleweight champion Jermell Charlo. However, with his replies, Alvarez shut him down with a brutal insult and called him a traitor since De La Hoya claims he is very proud of his Mexican heritage.
Furthermore, it appears Charlo agrees with Canelo Alvarez. He took to Twitter to give his take. He wrote, “Listen [I don’t know] if @OscarDeLaHoya lying or not, but in 2014 he promised me or @KingGabRosado the winner get @Canelo..I Won, but he ended up fighting Kirkland, @OscarDeLaHoya Gotta sick again, HOW DO U GO AGAINST YOUR OWN COUNTRYMAN viva Mexico !!!”

Thus, with this comment, the unified boxer backed his fellow champion and shut down the claims from De La Hoya. As a result, the promoter will now face even more criticism for making up things only to have a go at Alvarez.
