The Jake Paul versus Tommy Fury duel on February 26, in Saudi Arabia’s Diriyah Arena, laid to rest any questions on who is the better boxer, at least for now. The argument that switched places with bitter feuding originated in 2021. But efforts to settle the divisions in the ring failed ruefully twice. Finally, despite all the doubts, the third attempt bore fruit. The match justified all the hype and excitement and ended with Tommy Fury winning by a split decision.

Jake Paul accepted the verdict and congratulated Tommy Fury post-fight. But it seems the decision is yet to find whole-hearted approval. At least a message posted by Paul’s promotional venture, Most Valuable Promotions, appears to be giving many fans and followers an impression of cold-shouldering the outcome.

Through its Twitter handle @MostVpromotions, Most Valuable Promotions messaged, “One month after the biggest WIN of Jake Paul’s career. He didn’t get the decision, but he got so much more from the lesson. The return will be that much more beautiful.

Over 100k seem to have viewed the message. But some made it a point to respond to what they considered the best.

You should be able to call a spade-a-spade; Jake Paul lost, and Tommy Fury won, period

@martialbot addressed the situation reasonably suggesting that Jake Paul can, in the future, win big time. But he should be able to tackle the problem he faces during ‘close-range’ fighting. If he can take care of them, he will soon find his name mentioned along with other elite names in boxing.

Disagreeing with the promotion’s statements, @MoskieSoc said that, firstly, it was a convincing defeat and not a ‘win.’ However, he should accept it and hopefully have great takeaways from the bout. He expressed confidence that the American YouTuber-turned-boxer will stage a powerful return soon.

@mike2015678 sounded a bit more skeptical. According to him, the lesson that Paul should absorb from the fight is that he should instead stick to what he used to be good at earlier, ‘influencer boxing.’

Not appreciating the MVP’s statement, @vaclav_salek found it hard to believe that someone could continue to sully Tommy Fury’s efforts after all he had done.

Taking the bull by the horns, @BoogeymanSteel said that MVP could have talked about the lesson instead of spinning a win out of an accepted loss. Moreover, that could have helped Jake Paul in the long term with the narrative that he’s willing to learn from his mistakes. That way, even Tommy Fury would not be robbed of his rightful win.

@ZtnBlanco plain said that on February 26, Tommy Fury proved to be a better boxer than Jake Paul. After all, most judges decided in his favor.
