Caleb Plant faces Canelo Alvarez on November 6. Ahead of his fight, he went to train with the former undefeated champion Andre Ward in Illinois. In a recent interview with ‘Behind The Gloves’, Plant explained how the two started working together.

“Me and Andre, we’ve been in contact for a while now and he’s just somebody that I can reach out to. Or sometimes he reaches out to me and just checking in on me. Or you know, if I have questions on things, in the ring, out of the ring, you know. He’s been in a lot of positions and situations that I’m in now.”

“So it’s always good to have someone who’s been there before you. Who’s carried their selves the way that he carries himself and I got a lot of respect for that. A lot of respect for him, and a lot of respect for what he’s done in the sport. He respects me as well and so it’s just nice to have that person that you can call on and be like, and just ask those questions and just make sure that things are going how they’re supposed to go.”
