With back-to-back fiery performances inside the ring, Naoya Inoue has created a special place in everyone’s heart. Likewise, the boxing world is absolutely excited to witness the next fight of Inoue after he became the Unified Super Bantamweight champion against Stephen Fulton in his last fight. While the boxing world looked forward to yet another monstrous performance by the ‘Monster,’ talking to promoter Bob Arum, Steve Kim recently reported Inoue’s next potential match.
In Bob Arum’s opinion, Inoue is a “tremendous” fighter who has the potential to exceed Manny Pacquiao in the sport of boxing. And as per his latest statements, this tremendous Japanese boxer will compete for the Undisputed Super Bantamweight title nearly before the end of 2023.

Naoya Inoue to fight on Boxing Day: Opponent and date revealed
In 2022, by defeating Paul Butler, Inoue became the Undisputed Bantamweight champion at 118 lbs. Soon after accumulating the belts, the 30-year-old decided to move up to Super Bantamweight. As a result, he vacated the four belts he’d earned. However, ahead of his debut bout at 122 lbs with Fulton, ambitious ‘Monster’ declared he wanted “to be undisputed [Super Bantamweight] champion by the end of the year“. Given the fact that he will now face Marlon Tapales on December 26th on Boxing Day with the WBA, WBC, IBF & WBO Super-Bantamweight world titles 0n the line, it is safe to say that Inoue wasn’t kidding.
As soon as talkSPORT correspondent Michael Benson tweeted the news, a number of fans took to X and reacted. According to one fan, Inoue will become “Undisputed in back-to-back divisions“.
