However, an unseen clip of ‘Iron Mike’ sparring at the age of 50 has turned heads in the boxing world. The footage showcases Mike’s enduring skills and lightning-fast movements in the ring since his retirement. Recently, a user shared the clip on Instagram with a caption that read, “A new footage of Mike Tyson sparring in his 50s.” As the video started making the rounds on Instagram, fans were left captivated by ‘Iron’ Mike’s sparring session.

New sparring footage from Mike Tyson sparks comparisons

The post gathered over 5.5K likes and elicited nearly seventy comments from fans, signifying the love people have for the heavyweight champion. While some people made bold claims regarding Mike, others commended Tyson for his athleticism despite his age. 

One user boldly claimed that even at the age of 57, Mike could take on Jake Paul and Logan Paul at the same time and emerge victorious. “Bro still can beat Jake Paul and his brother at the same time,” the user wrote. 

Another user brought up Roberto Durán, a former Panamanian boxer who has fought in 119 fights and holds a record of 103-16. The user suggested Duran fought at the age of 50 and so Mike could do the same. It’s worth mentioning that back in 2001, Duran fought Hector Camacho and won the matchup. The user wrote, “Duran fought professionally in his 50’s. I think Mike can do that, too.”

The next user asserted Mike looked great even at his age and proceeded to compliment Mike and his sparring partner for their moves. “Mike looks great, and some good moves from sparring partner,” wrote the user.

Someone else resorted to a metaphor to explain his thoughts on Mike’s new sparring video. “The lion is old but has not forgotten to hunt,” the user commented.

One user suggested Mike should fight Bob Sapp because Sapp had previously called out Mike. “Bro, he needs to fight Bob Sapp now that man was talking all that. He may be big but got slow hands,” the user wrote. It’s worth mentioning that Mike and Sapp have had a beef between them.
