Canelo Alvarez has stomped on every widely spread rumor, this Friday afternoon. There were talks in the air that Alvarez is planning to face Jermall Charlo next. But with the recent announcement, it has been revealed that it’d be with the other Charlo brother. ‘Cinnamon’ is going to square up against Jermell Charlo on September 30 in a yet-to-be-determined Las Vegas venue. This is the first fight in the multi-fight deal between Canelo and Premier Boxing Champions. So, they’re starting with a bang, even Alvarez posted in his announcement Tweet, “Undisputed vs Undisputed.”

Jermell Charlo is currently the Undisputed Junior Middleweight Champion and will also be moving up two weight classes, for this fight. Charlo has been on a hiatus since he won against Juan Macias Montiel on his home turf, Houston back in 2019. Meanwhile, Alvarez recently had a homecoming fight on May 6th, where he defended his undisputed titles against John Ryder.
